Meet your Coach

My name is Joshua V. Marron (he/him), but in the Arena, I go by Coach JV.

I’m the founder of The Level Up! Arena and a proud queer coach who believes fitness should challenge you, not box you in. This is a program built for results, not perfection. And while identity matters, it doesn’t define your potential, it fuels it.

Here, we train hard, own our progress, and never flinch from the work it takes to grow. Whether you’re LGBTQ+ or just looking for a coach who leads with clarity and compassion, I’m glad you’re here.

Before we dive in, here is a little bit more about me.

I’m based in Southern California and have spent over a decade transforming my life through movement, mindset, and plant-based strength.

But let me be clear, this hasn’t been one smooth, upward arc.

After a serious motorcycle accident, I was left with a metal rod in my leg and a long road ahead. I treated recovery like a quest; step by step, level by level; and it worked. But there have been setbacks too: injury, chronic pain, and more than a few battles with my mental health. Even recently, I’ve had to navigate a bulging disc in my lower back. And still, I rise. Because this journey isn’t about being flawless. It’s about being relentless.

That’s the heart I bring to coaching.
